The "Lion of the Left" is Gone - But Will Never Be Forgotten - RIP, Senator Ted Kennedy

Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy
February 22, 1932 – August 25, 2009

Although, we knew that Senator Kennedy was terminally ill, it was still a shock to me when I heard the words on the "Breaking News" last night that he has passed away.

Despite any flaws he may have had, he was a remarkable politician, a dedicated family man and wonderful human being.

It is not an exaggeration to say that it is the end of an era.

God Bless the entire Kennedy clan and his friends, family and those of us ordinary citizens who felt that we somehow had a personal connection with him.

Be blessed,

Dot

He fought the good fight!!! His parents and siblings would have been proud of how he, as the sole-surviving son, never lost sight of what the Kennedy Family stood for. It certainly feels like the end of an era, today. However, we must pray that it is not the end, but the beginning of a new era and that Senator Kennedy will be replaced by someone with his dedication to be a positive force and voice for the underdog to experience the American Dream of opportunity and justice for all!!!

My prayers go out to his entire family, friends, colleagues and to those of us who are deeply saddened by the death of this great leader.
